Catalina Laracuente was born in New York and raised in Chelsea NYC. She leaves behind two sons, one daughter, two sisters, one brother, 5 grandchildren, step father, nieces and nephews who love and admired her lively spirit. She joins in Heaven her mother Bruni and father Juan. Born in the 60’s she experienced the best decades of her life. She loved deeply and had a heart of pure gold. One of the rare people that would give the shirt off her back to the more needy. Always with a smile her favorite place to spend time was by the water, which bought her peace and tranquility. Her family was the most important part of her life and she spent her last days listening to music and dancing. On June 23 she died at age 60 the way she always wanted, peacefully of natural causes in her bed. In one of her most recent diary entries she wrote, “remember me a smile and laughter, as that is how I remember you all. If you remember me with tears and sadness, don’t remember me at all.” That is how we will choose to remember her with joy and happiness until we meet her again.
