Our beautiful mother Deborah James (life of the party) also known as Debbie, slim and star has passed away on 11/23/23. Deborah grew up in Harlem, NY and attended St. Aloysius catholic school for elementary and middle school. Deborah went to Cathedral high school and played basketball up until she graduated. Deborah loved to dance, and she danced at the Theresa hotel in Harlem. Deborah worked for the state of NY as a mental health therapist, and later on worked for the Navy in St. Croix USVI. Deborah had a radiant aura, and infectious energy that could be felt miles away. The love, and support she showed her children, family, and friends are unmeasurable. Deborah is survived by her husband Owen McIntosh, her 4 children, Arron, Delaine, Nairen and Nyesha. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Victoria, Naiema, and Nikolai. Her Brothers, Lawrence, and Reuben. Her nieces, and nephews, Runiqua, Levon, Lovel, and Laura. Her cousins, Marvin, Marla, and Mavis. The viewing will take place on 12/9 from 2-7pm at 300 E 104th St NY, NY 10029. The memorial will take place on 12/10 at 2pm, followed by a repass at the New York Culture Center at 7 E 15th St NY, NY 10003.
