Edward Lowell Ray was born on October 8th 1945 to the late Fannie Ray and the late Floyd Ray on the west side of Harlem.
Later on in life he graduated from Benjamin Franklin high school in New York City. Then continued education at mercy college Dobbs ferry.
He drove an ambulance in the 1990’s and worked as a superintendent on the west side 122nd street for the remainder of his life.
He was a caring father to his daughter Takenya and step son Damon who he helped raise. He was a great uncle to his nephew’s Ramel ,Raheem ,Eric as well.
Edward departed his life on February 26 2021 at mount sinai hospital Manhattan New York.
Edward leaves to cherish his memories Two daughters Two son n laws Takenya and her fiancé Adonis her sister sherese and her husband Bruce and step son Damon. Four grandkids Adonis , Ahmad ,Akeem, Sekora. His sister Bernice and husband Thomas Taylor and her three sons Eric ,Raheem,Ramel. And a host of nieces and nephews.
The mother of his daughter Simone cantey which they remained a strong friendship and bond and his best friend Frankie aka shaken bake who was like a brother.
