Evelyn Kornreich

Evelyn Kornreich, 73 passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025. She was born on May 18,1951 in the Lower Eastside to both parents Maria Victoria and Jose Irizarry. She also has a living brother Daniel Irizarry. Both Evelyn & Daniel moved to the Bronx and attended school. Evelyn became a Registered Nurse and worked at the Department of Public health and later transitioned to the private sector in the OBGYN field. She often flew to Ohio to assist in surgical cases. She had 2 daughters Eva-Maria and Margie whom were both her world and she loved very much. She has 3 grand daughters, Samantha, Sierra and Daniele. Evelyn was a cherished member of her community and often a local "Mom" to most of the kids in the neighborhood. Evelyn always instilled in her girls Eva-Maria and Margie, to always be kind, smile and give back. She loved art's & crafts, drawing, cooking(we all knew where the smell of good food was coming from), and most of all spending time with Daniele as they both were a "Pea in a pod". She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Forever in our hearts and your memories will on.
