In Loving Memory of Ida Rivera Ida Rivera, 61, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024 after a five year battle with cancer. She fought long and hard. Her strength and faith never wavered. Ida was born on December 26, 1962 to Libia Rivera. She brought immense joy to those around her. Ida’s journey touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of strength. Her unwavering spirit in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all who knew her. Ida loved her family and friends more than anything in this world. Her outgoing personality would also start the party and she was always ready to have fun. She was a strong, beautiful woman who loved to say “Always blessed and never stressed.” Ida was always one with God. Her strong Catholic faith and spirituality was what kept her courageous. Ida is survived by her loving family and friends, who will forever hold dear her memory. She was a loving mother to her four children; Vincent, Vanessa, Julian and Shana. She was predeceased by her mother Libia Rivera and her daughter Vanessa Calderon. Ida is survived by her children; Vincent, Julian and Shana and her brothers; Angel and Ken. They will continue to hold her memory close to there hearts. She is also survived by her sister in laws; Nicole and Terry, her nieces and nephews; Annie, Anabelle, Abby, Nicky, Johan, Avery and Angelise, and her grandchildren; Noah, Jace, Olivia, Angie and Vallie and her friends and family at Goldman Sachs. We will all remember the positive impact she had on everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Please join us to honor and celebrate Ida’s life at her viewing and her funeral. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 12th from 3:00-7:00pm at Manhattan Funeral Service, 2242 1st Avenue, New York, NY 10029. Ida’s funeral mass will be Wednesday, March 13th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 449 E.115th Street, New York, NY 10029. The burial will follow mass at St. Raymond's Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Ave, Bronx, NY 10465.
