Maria Altagracia Rodriguez

Maria Rodriguez, 71, passed away on February 23, 2021. 
She was born in the Dominican Republic and came to the U.S. in 1974. Maria is the youngest out of seven siblings. She is predeceased by her parents, one son and three siblings, but survived by four sons. She is also survived by two siblings, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Maria was best known as “Mama”. Mama was a woman of faith. She was immensely loved, adored and respected by family and friends. Her family, and her role as mother and grandmother, was the most important thing to her. Family is where she drew her strength and left her legacy. Being with her family was what Mama enjoyed most of all. Mama also enjoyed cooking meals for her family, playing Bingo and Dominoes, going to church and shopping in El Barrio.
While we know that she is at peace and that her struggles are at an end, there is pain and sadness. But even though she is gone, she has left the legacy of her love and perseverance. The ways she touched our lives will remain, and I ask you to keep those memories alive by sharing them with one another.
