It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mommy (Nana known to her by her grandchildren) is survived by her daughters Myrtho Butler, her two children and grandchildren; Dominique Nerestan, her son and his children; Eddye Thomas, her children, and grandchild; and her youngest daughter, whom she shared an apartment with.

Mommy's love for her children was quite apparent. She loved us all equally and shared a unique and special relationship with each one. She taught us many life lessons we will always cherish. Mommy had a sense of humor and an infectious smile. She remained positive even in adversity. As a woman of great faith, she was often heard praying and reciting Psalm 23.

Mommy lived a long life and passed away at age 89. She would love for us to remember the beautiful person she was (inside and out). Although we grieve, we can also rejoice that she is in a better place with God.
