Phillip Nerestan Obituary

The youngest of five children, Phillip Nerestan was the beloved “little” brother to four sisters. Phillip
always had a smile and an encouraging word for everyone he met. He rarely raised his voice, then only
in defense of others, and was always the peacemaker of the group. He was known for his caring and
generous spirit, and his legacy is one of honesty, integrity and compassion.
His love for his family was only challenged by his love for the arts. Phil was an accomplished musician,
playing a variety of instruments, an artist, photographer, and a member of the theatrical stage
employees union, where he spent more than 20 years doing what he loved.
He is survived by his mother, his sisters, nephews, nieces, grand nieces and nephews, and many friends
and colleagues.
Phillip’s physical presence will be truly missed; still his character, his smile, most of all his love, will live
on in all those who knew him.

“Love doesn’t die, People do.

So, when all that’s left of me is love, give me away.”
