Steven Zurita Obituary

Steven David Zurita
(AKA - Teddy) sunrise - August 25, 1989 , sunset - March 21, 2021.
Hello everyone, and thank you for coming out to honor and pay respects to my cousin and our family during these difficult times. My name is Cheyenne, I’m Steven’s younger cousin, but we’re more like siblings. He’s my big brother, my champion. Not only to me, but to others in his life as well. Steven was the most humble, outgoing, loving, yet down to earth person to ever enter someone’s life. He loved sports, no wasn’t the best, gave it his all whether he took a loss or win because it was something he enjoyed being active. He loved football, a big time jets fan. Steven was a night owl, stayed up late, but still got up early every morning without any complaints. He was a go getter. If you knew Steven, you knew he loved books, reading them, forever adding more knowledge to his mind. He loved to write, and music, oh boy music was his passion... He had a smile, personality and vibe like no other, he can brighten up anyone’s mood at any given time, even while fighting his own demons. Because that’s who he was. There was never a dull moment with him. He was an angel in disguise placed in people’s life for a purpose. He was the man you can talk to about any and everything. He would never judge you nor steer you wrong. Even at your darkest moments, he found a way to make you smile and forget. He was the man you can call at any time and he would drop whatever he has going on and run to your rescue without questions asked. He was a mentor and protector. Might not have been the toughest in the box, but he definitely wasn’t the softest. He was a family man who loved whole heartedly, genuine, never fake. Steven stayed true to himself, never tried to be something he wasn’t to fit in. Throughout his years of life, he’s built unbreakable bonds with family, friends who became family. He was given the opportunity to created 3 handsome son’s, who he will forever be with in spirit. And he will forever live within us.
